Description
Jump into an unforgettable rafting adventure down the glacier river Hvítá!
This is our classic shared rafting tour, perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups who are ready to meet new people and share a fun, adrenaline-filled day on the river.
Hvítá flows from Langjökull Glacier and is the third longest river in Iceland — 185 kilometers of powerful, glacier-fed water. Along the way, you’ll pass stunning natural landmarks, including the famous Gullfoss waterfall.
Expect a great mix of excitement and scenery: thrilling rapids, playful waves, and jaw-dropping views of Hvítá Canyon and Brúarhlöð — places only accessible by raft or kayak.
The rafting route covers about 9 kilometers, and the whole experience takes around 3.5 to 4 hours. Make sure to arrive at Secret Local Adventures Base at least 15 minutes before departure.
We provide dry suits — keeping you about 90% dry, plus all necessary gear including a life jacket, helmet, and shoes. Our expert guides are fully trained to keep things safe, smooth, and fun.
No prior rafting experience is needed — just bring your energy and a sense of adventure!
